Wait about 18 months if you can. I fell pregnant around this time with my second. The age gap is lovely!
When I was being discharged they did say to me wait atleast 18 months - 24 months before trying again just to give maximum time for healing - but it also does depend whether you’d be happy with another section? I specifically asked about VBAC hence their response, otherwise I mean I guess 12 months before trying would be fine if you was happy to have another section? Xx
The advice I was told by midwives and consultant was to wait 2 years, to significantly reduce risk of scar rupture. Who knew!
I was told by the consultant who did my c-section to wait 18 months before trying if we wanted another baby. This helps your body completely heal as it can take up to 18 months to heal internally. He did say we could try before then but I would have to have another elective section if we did x
Had my second section and asked my GP how long I should wait before trying to conceive again, advice is 18 months between sections but she recommended to wait a year before getting pregnant. Think it depends on your circumstances though so you can always ask your GP.
