2 things everyone has said were lifesavers that aren’t often on lists!! Lip balm cause gas and air dries you out and a hand held fan cause the ward is so hot! I’ve gone way overboard in my bag as it’s my first time but I’d just rather have to much then too little!

@Maddie ah I forgot to mention this too! Definitely both these. I'm so glad I did for my other births and have packed these. Also for nappies, pack and few newborn and the next size up just in case xx
Ahhh been there! Hello lovely! The NHS has guidelines and that pretty much is all the essentials! I would just note a few things to get which are not on the list 1) water bottle with a straw as it’s hard to unscrew a cap in between contractions 2) 3m phone cable as the plugs are far from the bed 3) birth comb for birth 4) postpartum belly wrap if not C-section delivery to support your abdominal You can also buy or create your own hospital bag at mybabynest.co.uk you’ve got this! 💪🏻

Check out the pampers list - its quite good. I've based mine on that for my previous 2 and used that for this baby. Some things I didn't pack though as didn't need it. You can just search hospital bag pampers and it should come up xx
