Bonding

Common unfortunately but not normal. My husband had an instant bond with our baby. Was the baby planned?

My husband tries but baby prefers me & he's convinced baby hates him lmao

My husband wants to be more around his daughter but since I stay in a family shelter it would be difficult for my husband to bond with his daughter

@Jennifer pregnancy not planned, but he was involved throughout my whole pregnancy. He's convinced baby hates him bc he can't soothe him when he's crying and again baby prefers me so he feels some type of way.

@Basil Oh ok that’s different than him not trying at least. He just has to be patient and keep trying. I notice a lot of babies respond differently to different people, he just has to figure out what gestures baby likes that’s tailored to him.

Baby is just preferring mom right now, this is pretty common, baby knows you and your smells but dad is a whole new person he is meeting and it’ll take time. Definitely try skin to skin with dad and baby.
