Taking A BottlešŸ¼

Hello, my little girl is exclusively breastfed. I am having to attend a funeral in just over 3 weeks time and trying my best to not take my little girl with me and leave her with someone for a few hours but she won't take a bottle. Has anyone got any tips at all or what helped them? Otherwise I will be unable to attend which I am trying to avoid if possible.šŸ˜Š

Have someone else offer her the bottle, my little boy wonā€™t take a bottle from me as he expects the boob, but if Iā€™m out of sight and dad offers, heā€™ll drink it no problem! X

Consistency and persistence in giving her a bottle. Doesnā€™t even have to be a full bottle just put a little bit in and offer it to her everyday for her to get familiar with the bottle. Thatā€™s what Iā€™ve been doing :)

Have you tried lansinoh bottles? Those were the only ones we had success with with an ebf baby and weā€™ve still managed to bf as well as drink from those bottles. They seem to be the closest to bf

I had the same issue since my baby was 6 weeks old! Heā€™s only recently started taking one bottle a day, the only thing that did the trick was daily trying, cheap nutmeg bottles from Morrisons, a warm teat and really warm milk (warmer than you would expect!) I then transitioned him onto lansinoh teats and now he accepts mam bottles too! It took perseverance and many daily battles to get him to take a bottle though!Experiment with different temperatures of milk and warming the teat up - good luck! X
