It’s my Second baby and my birth plan at the moment is to do natural with hopefully water birth, it’s what I wanted for my first but my water broke naturally and I was induced because I got preeclampsia during labour. I wouldn’t mind being induced again because of the fact I’m at risk for preeclampsia again but ideally want a natural Water birth 🤞🏻
Second baby and planning another water birth!
I’m going for elective c section xxxxx
Elective section this time round x
Second birth first was vaginal, electing for c-section this time. Simply because I want everything as planned and controlled as possible. Got too much stress in my life for the anticipation of natural labour x
@Eve I’m considering this for this baby again! I tried with my first but long story short, she was stuck, I was never pushing her out without assistance and ended up assisted birth. Not sure whether to give myself another chance or section! How was your water birth?
Hoping for a vaginal birth at my local midwife led birthing centre this time, first time was in the hospital due to meconium in my waters and the constant monitoring just annoyed me SO much whilst in labour 😬
First baby, he’s a high risk ivf baby so I know I’ll likely be induced. Keep hearing horror stories but I want a vaginal birth so badly. I’m terrified of a c section especially as I’m plus size so I’m worried my scar won’t heal as easily!
@Chanice 3 of my mum friends have been induced and had great inductions and really swift births. So it isn’t all horror stories. We are ivf too for both of mine.
@Chanice I am plus size too, had an emergency c-section with my first and I bounced right back from it, scar healed beautifully. I’m opting for vaginal this time if I can (I’m high risk IVF after loosing a baby at 18!weeks in July), just know your birth preferences should be honoured if there is no medical reason against them. I suggest following some birth rights pages on insta!
Second for me, I’m hopefully planning a midwifery led water birth First time I had to be induced and consultant led and it wasn’t ideal so hopefully this time it goes better 😂
Oh no! The water was the only place I could get comfortable. I did have a second degree tear but other than that was a really positive experience. Hoping for a similar experience this time around (minus the tear!)
Third baby and hoping for third home birth :)
This is my second, I am planning on having a VBAC water birth

Second baby, VBAC is the plan this time around!
Second baby, I had assisted birth first time and I really can’t decide whether to try again naturally or go for elective c section
@Bethan this is me toooo 😭 my first one was quite traumatic as she was stuck. I was rushed from midwife hospital to medical hospital 9cm dialated with only gas and air and in so much pain. I just don’t want to go through that pain again! Xx
Second baby, want to stay at home for as long as possible and go in when I need to aiming for a vaginal birth. Had c section last time with plenty of hurdles so want to stay away from the scaremongerers 😂
Second baby, my first was also stuck and I spent three hours pushing before an assisted birth. 🥴 But I spoke to my very experienced midwife and basically any of us with assisted births will have an easier ride for second babies, and we're the most eligible for home births as a result. I'd prefer to be in hospital just in case but I found that reassuring to try again without interventions.
Had elective with my first due to him being Breech, been advised due to complications during that to have another again, this was discussed at my booking appointment xx
@Rachel sorry....what?
@Rachel I'm really confused what this has to do with my comment on an elective section?
@Rachel Haha makes more sense now!!
Expecting our third. Number 1 was pretty standard vaginal birth, no issues 24 hrs in labour. Number 2 was accidentally born at home because she arrived so fast, so this time we're planning for a home birth. Wouldn't be my first choice but seems better than unplanned home birth or giving birth in the car on the way to the hospital 😬
Second, already signed for my planned c section. I was adamant I didn’t want an induction as I just didn’t respond to it the first time (15 hours on hormone drip after an already slow 24h labour with waters breaking) we discussed if I go into labour naturally before hand I will try for a VBAC if everything is progressing well. But if it’s a slow labour again then in for a section. I have some additional risk factors so I know they’ll not want me to go over the 40 weeks hence not wanting an induction.
