We have a day and night clock which lights up dimly all night. My daughter finds it reassuring if she does wake but also knows it’s not time to get up yet!
We have a Hatch lamp. It stays on all night (in a schedule). What also helped us is that we never avoided talking about monsters and Halloween stuff. There are some cute videos that kind of help him to “understand” that is all pretend. Stevie and Maggie also has a lot of episodes 🤣 Try some books too!
Thank you. I think leaving it on all night might be the solution then, will have to remember to charge it 😂 He doesn't usually wake in the night though, it's mainly bedtime when we have the red light on anyway 🤷♀️
Go in and do a monsters check before you put him to bed, check in his wardrobe under the bed behind the curtains and tell him there all gone and there scared of mummy’s and daddy’s there not coming back all night xx
Could backfire depending on the child but worked for my daughter - she is absolutely obsessed with the monsters inc films and now just thinks monsters are hilarious, especially as they’re scared of the little girl instead of the children being scared of them. She also has a nightlight that stays on all night
Thank you ❤️ my little boy likes monsters inc. too so maybe need to rewatch again and take note that they are more scared of the child. At the moment, we have been telling him that monsters are just in books and on the TV but he doesn't seem to be believing it so need to do some mummy fighting 😂
We have a lamp that can change colour so we set it to red and leave it on all night and it seemed to solve the issue. We did actually buy 2 so we had one for our room as it looked like a nice light to have, she will shout out if she wakes in the night and hers has run out battery so I think she likes having it on all night. Might be worth trying leaving it on all night?
