I had a sleepy newborn as well she spelt for at least 4 hours at a time in the first couple of days n week. I’m a firm believer that baby will wake up if they are hungry. Keep in mind babies do not need a lot of food the first weeks of life they will eat more as they grow. If your concern about her eating try waking her up every 2 hours to eat. Trust me she will cry to let you know she’s hungry
We had a sleepy newborn but I woke her up every 3 hours. Once she got back to birth weight I had to wake her up still but went to every 4 hours. We had to strip her off and change her nappy to wake her up most of the time x
Hi honey, soon to be third time mom here. It’s completely normal for her to be drinking 15ml to 1oz because she’s still so tiny. A three day old baby’s stomach is only the size of a walnut. Personally, I chose to feed on demand; So we never had a definitive schedule. However, if my baby was too sleepy to nurse; I would strip them down to the diaper and tickle their feet while doing skin-to-skin.
As it’s still such early days If she hasn’t woken up by the 3 hour mark you should wake her up for a feed, but if she’s wanting food more often than this then that’s completely normal to x
