They did say it could be a couple of days, will I be aloud to come home or do I have to stay in the hospital?
I think whether you can go home depends on the health board and the types of induction they offer, I was in for two days before the induction started working, just take a book, download some films and know that even if it takes some time, it’s all progress
I had a balloon induction at 39 weeks, I was allowed home and told to come back 24 hours later to have the balloon removed. This method worked for me and I went into labour, I was told any methods other than the balloon would result in me staying in the hospital to be monitored. Hope this helps ☺️
In Carmarthen I was told I couldn’t leave once the induction had started. I tried 3 types and eventually had to have a c section. The staff were brilliant. The days are long leading up to active labor I found, take something in to keep you occupied for a bit.
@Josie I was in Singleton and wasn't aloud home but I was aloud to walk around the hospital
I’m dreading being stuck in for that long, I’m 37 weeks on Saturday I hope it works I really don’t want a c section
I had a great induction ☺️ I wasn’t allowed to go home. I went in on the Friday midday, had baby Saturday 3pm and went home not even 24h later. Prepare for it to take a while even though it doesn’t always and try to stay open minded and get as much rest beforehand as possible x
I hope it goes like this that sound grate ☺️
In Cardiff I had the pessary and was able to go home til things started happening
Expect to be waiting a long time, that helped me just accept I was going to be there a while
