@Mel I've already had two swabs. I'm uk based. Think I'll have to contact gp again as I'm not sure what else to do.
Contact your local treatment room they provide amazing care, in the end I had daily anti bacterial dressings provided by them which helped me :)
I asked for saline and gauze to clean my wound. I also had 3 lots of antibiotics and took up to week 6 to start healing. I was walking around the house with no bottoms on to help keep it dry and cool
Back to the docs I think! spend as much time without pants on as you can to allow air to get to it, baggy T-shirts in the house etc. it’ll clear up don’t worry xx
The only thing that helped me when my wound was infected was this cream the doctors gave and the doc recommended sudocrem to dry anything out, also when it was 95% healed after the creams i sat in a dettol bath, im not fully healed and im 13 week pp
I had the same issue ask for the wound to be swabbed so they can provide the appropriate care, if you are UK based look for your local treatment room (NHS based) :)
