How is everyone coping with teething?

At least that’s what everyone says it is but I’m not convinced.. LO used to sleep through the night but now wakes up absolutely hysterical and screaming down the place and she’s screaming and crying in the day too on and off. Never ever did this before.. she’s not even been asleep for an hour tonight and already woke up screaming the house down. I was looking forward to bedtime after a horrendous day but now dreading what’s ahead. I don’t know what to do, how to help her, we pick her up and hold her and rock her back to sleep but the second we put her down she’s screaming again. She can fall asleep on her own though and she’s clearly exhausted but she just screams and I don’t know why or what it is. Is it regression? Anyone else having this? What can I do 😭

Have you given her anything for teething? To see if it helps? X

I give Calpol for my little one and it helps a lot.

My little one was like this last week, I was giving him teething granules and calpol at night. But he was still up during the night screaming. It does get better trust me. This week he has slept all night again and I feel human again. X

Ashtons and parsons teething powder has saved me. It says you can give up to 6 doses in 24 hours and I’m doing just that. His first tooth popped through last week

@Alyssa how lon did it take for teeth to come through? X

It’s deffo teething now I can actually see a tiny dot of white through the gum but it’s only a tiny bit of a corner of it so god knows how long that’ll take to come through 😢🥲 poor baby, feel so bad for her. Been trying calpol but it is a bit hit and miss, sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn’t

Definitely try the Ashton and Parsons Gel/powder usually calms my little girl within a few minutes xx

@Aimee I just got some powder but it says to put it on in the morning and evening, do you normally just put it on as and when? Or follow the instructions? Xx

I usually only put it as and when because my girl only has flare ups at the moment, but if she’s distressed daily then do it morning and night xx

@Aimee yeah it’s difficult to know what the best thing to do would be because for her it comes in waves, she’ll be absolutely fine and then out of nowhere she’ll start screaming and putting her finger in her mouth touching her gum but it’s not like constant, it just comes and goes during the day. I might just do it every day and see if it makes a difference xx

Yeah so when my daughter does that I put some gel on her as and when she randomly has outbursts x

@Aimee great, thank you so much for the help xx

@Ansa to be honest I only noticed in the evening after he had a terribly grumpy day that it had come through. He was sick with a cold in the days leading up so he was already out of sorts I didn’t think anything more of it

@Alyssa My son has the same a cold and diarhea fussy and waking at night screaming crying so im just hoping it comes soon 😔
