Anyone else get booked in for an induction and gone into natural labour before? I’ve got mine booked for next week and praying baby comes before! 🤞🏼

Me too! My sister and my friend both went into labour the day before their inductions 😅

I've got my induction booked for Sunday eve and still hoping she will come before then. Had 2 sweeps already and 40+6 today sighhhh

@Catherine lucky!! Good luck!

@Rachel oh bless you!! These babies are stubborn! Fingers crossed for you x

Mine was booked for the Wednesday and kept getting moved and told to call the next day. Was waiting for the call to come for the Saturday and went into natural labour on the Friday

Same! Induction booked for Weds, due date Mon (but, by ovulation/copulation should be 20th). Had a sweep yesterday and 2cm dilated, so 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I don’t get why they’re so eager to push induction once you reach 41 weeks now. It seems so silly. I’ve just had my 40 week’s appointment today and my midwife said well you need a plan. And I was like yeah my plan is to go naturally. If I book in a date to be induced it just gives me unnecessary pressure that won’t help me relax and labour. Basically she agreed to leave it and let me contact her if I change my mind but said I’ll move to a consultant and have to have extra monitoring

@Gaby I get that, I think mine is more because I’ve been a little worried about movements. Not to the point we need to get her out now but I just don’t want her in there for much longer if that makes sense. I would ideally like her to come completely naturally though 🤞🏼 and I just think the longer they’re in there the bigger they’re getting 😬

Ha yeah I have big babies anyway. My other two have been 9lb plus but I know my body can do it so 🤷🏻‍♀️ sticking to my feeling. Seeing a consultant on Tuesday so we’ll see what they have to say.

@Gaby in my case it's because I'm 44 and there's increased chance of placental failure in older mothers. With my first I was 40 and went 15 days overdue before induction though (she arrived 18days after due date)

@Gaby you do what’s right for you, there’s no right or wrong. Hope you get the labour you want. X

Yes I originally was hoping for a water birth all natural etc, I was 2cm dilated on Monday and they kept me in for observations then on Tuesday morning threatened I'd have to have an induction on Wednesday as I'd be 40 weeks due to my ICP levels continuing to rise. We asked if we could come in really late at 9pm on the weds. We went home on Tuesday at 4pm and I continued laboring at home, my contractions were so painful all of Wednesday and I was having over 4 in 10 mins. When we did get to the hospital they monitored and examined me and I was 5cm dilated so they said no need for induction and went to take me to delivery, then my waters broke and then baby came naturally about 40 minutes later all very fast. I had been trying lots of things anyways to ramp up labour during those days but on Tuesday night my man got me a pizza with chilli, he made this pineapple okra drink, I was doing all the squats/exercises etc and we even went to the park on the swings and roundabout. Had sex and nipple stimulation

After seeing someone else say it on here I did this video 3 times on Sunday along with walking around 5k and exercises etc and then started having contractions Monday morning. So who knows if this is what did it but you could try? https://youtu.be/7SkbHdjPYho?si=TFS6SPCA2Aawygjg
