If you are in the UK, they should call you first thing to tell when to come in. They should know roughly what time to book you in in the day as they go through their delivery schedules and availability of rooms. Are you able to call the hospitals maternity unit to confirm?
They will call by 6pm the night before, to let you know if you need to be in by 7:30 or later. Ask them where to go, as it will be a ward, not maternity unit. I had mine in December. I went to hospital for 7:30. They were operating on 4 ladies. I was the 3rd one, and went for anesthetic at 1:30. Baby born at 2pm. I was discharged by lunchtime the next day. Good luck! Xx
Mine was for 11am but we made sure we were at the hospital for 10:30am. They will have to call you the night before anyway to tell you when you need to start fasting
Thanks so much guys! I was worried all the info was guna be in the letter and I wasn’t guna get it on time 🤣 xx
Also really random but what happens with hospital bags lol? Cos obvs my phone and everything else is guna be in there 😅😅 not to say anyone would steal anything lol but you never know
We were first put into a room with 2 beds to wait in. That’s where we left our bags in, my husband took our phones with him to the theatre when we went down and while the C-section was being done, midwives moved our bags to where we were going after the C-section so when we arrived on the recovery wing our bags were there
At st James and lgi you go up to the postnatal ward before your section and are given a bed which is were you will be once out of recovery so your bags will be where you left them. Can take your valuables into theatre with you x
Thank you everyone !! Do you get to the labour ward through MAC?
Probably the time you have be there for ?? Good luck hope everything goes well for you and baby
