Birth at Barnsley Hospital

Has anyone recently given birth at Barnsley Hospital? Any and all options/ experiences about care would be greatly appreciated. Bonus points for induction at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Honestly, I'm not very keen on getting induced. However, I am trying to keep an open mind and would like to hear from mommies and their experience. TIA

I gave birth in January at Barnsley due to lack of beds at Pinderfield. I also needed to be induced there due to my induction at Pinders going backwards so I needed to stay overnight. They were honestly fab and even got me a side room so my husband could stay with me. I have zero regrets going to Barnsley it was such a good experience and amazing care would recommend to anyone :)

I had my second in Barnsley Dec 2023 at 39 weeks, after my first at Pinders. They are brilliant. Own room, partner stayed over, really attentive and kind.

Not Barnsley but I went into premature labour and gave birth at St James’ due to no room at pinders if you are wanting other recommendations they were honestly amazing down to the NICU team as well
