Yes happened to me ! I was able to pee the next time it came Out though keel making sure your keeping up with thr fluids x
I didn’t have a c section in the end but was prepped for one and had a spinal block so went through the same process. I had this issue, but did manage to pee a few hours after the time limit they’d given! I did then have bladder issues, where I had zero sensation that my bladder was full but it’s not uncommon to struggle to pee after a catheter so you might be totally fine!! No incontinence, but had to set alarms to remind me or I’d go over 24h without peeing at all. With lots of pelvic floor physio and just waiting for what we assume is the nerves to heal I did start regaining sensation around 8 months post partum x
Happened to me too. Had to stay another night and had been fitted with a “flip-flow” a little tap on the end of the catheter tube, so I could go to the toilet to empty it. It was frustrating but the next day I could pee freely so I think it was a case of bladder not waking up x
@Rachel I’m really hoping I can wee today after having this for 24 hours 🙏🏼
Did you manage to wee? Xx
I did!!
Exactly the same happened to me! I was gutted as I really needed a wee but just couldn’t go. I put it down to my bladder just not waking up quickly after the spinal. I also noticed that the urine coming out with really dark, where it got a lot lighter the following morning when I could then wee catheter free. Just a heads up that I also didn’t have to urge to wee for about 4/5 weeks pp (never wet myself thank god) so just something to be mindful about when you’re home to go to the toilet often, even if you don’t feel like it, just in case
