@Wish I’m kinda on the bigger side too but good to know it’s only about 25 min. Is there anything that helped you with the recovery process that I should keep an eye out for?
Had an emergency c section too with my first that I refused to have at the time and now this time I’m opting to have another one , personally it’s not worth the risk of me labouring again just to fail again . It’s very quick and they still can do everything you want like delayed cord clamping etc and immediate skin to skin . All I’d say is that moving around and any physical movement at all after the first week is basically none at all and have someone to support you with get up and getting in to bed and daily tasks.
@Dakota keep checking your stitches in case you get any infection. Earlier the better. Other than that I was fine. My husband helped me to pass the air through my stitches which means he needed to hold it for me 😂 I have hanging tummy.i was holding my baby the same night and walking in the hospital room as no one was allowed there. I never thought I am that strong, but I was. In uk they write everything on board so that’s how I know it was only 25 mins. If you need to use stairs go up backward. Move slowly in the house dnt stay too long on the bed. I had to use blood thinner injections since I was 26 weeks pregnant and had to continue for next six weeks after the c sec. It helped with the blood clots. They used a device for my legs to get the sensation back after the epidural for the next 12 hours.
@Wish you can have a selected c section? 😩 I asked my obgyn about having one and they straight up told me no. I had the worst experience in delivering my baby and had to go into emergency surgery bc of complications and I was bleeding out. 😮💨🤧
@Brianna yes you can !! I am ! You should push on the care you want
I’ve had 2 about to have my third! Always always listen to what doctor says rest!! Don’t over do it! It’s really not bad you will start feeling less pain after a week!
@Brianna I have a tilted pelvis so I have to have one unfortunately
I have had two c-sections with both my daughters my first one was an emergency and It didn’t seem long the healing was a lot but the best thing I did was wear a girdle to basically suppress my scar from the pain and with my second one it was little longer because I had them back to back so my body wasn’t fully healed but I did have a panic attack because I don’t like feeling like I don’t have control of my body but the healing was very easy and I didn’t really have any pain and was up and moving with in a week after coming home
But my best advice is to not be in your head as I know it’s hard and to try to have a clear mind I listened to music to help me
@Brianna yes, you can have selected one. It’s our body and our choice. I have type 2 diabetes and high bp I dnt want to risk again and just want to go there and get my baby out. May be System there is different than here in uk.
Had one emergency c section and nothing to worry about. Keep calm and relax. The process was only about 25 mins and you dnt feel anything. I am big girl so recover was bit difficult but it was fine. Planning to have selected c section this time.
