Postnatal bleeding

How long did everyone else bleed for after c- section? I know generally speaking it can last anywhere up to a couple months and I’m only on week 2. I’m just curious how much longer i have to put up with taking 20 minutes to pee because I have to change pads.

I’m on my second c section and I’ve stopped bleeding (I’m 5 weeks pp) my lochia is already in the last stages. But I would say this time round there wasn’t much bleeding like there was for my first. For my first I would say I felt like it was never ending- like I bled for the whole entire time but it was within the 6 weeks mark and no more than that as that can be seen as an issue x

6 weeks, which is about the same as how long I bled after my vaginal birth too. It was a lot lighter this time generally but I would continue to have some red blood up until the end of those 6 weeks particularly if I had been doing light exercise like walking. I did get away with period pants for the last 3 weeks instead of maternity pads.

I only bled for about a week then spotted for a second but I was hoovered out apparently 🤢😂

5.5 weeks straight 5 months pp currently no period i am nursing i spot and ovulate b

I stopped bleeding at 4 weeks pp. Then I had my period 2 weeks later which sucked.

I bled for 8 weeks straight had 3 weeks break and then my period started

I bled for 6 weeks

So there’s no “general rule” just sort of hope for the best

Im 4 weeks pp tomorrow and stil have very light bleeding keep wakening up in the morning to a clean pad thinking thank god i can stop wearing them to then still have the lochia i think its called

With my first I bled for over 2 months I went back to work around the same time it started lightening up

I bled for 8 or 9 days, last 3-4 days were light

@Lisa not me having to Google what Lochia is… shows how much information you actually get given PP

I bled for 2 weeks, then had a week break then got what I thought was abit of a heavier period for about 3 weeks. Nothing unmanageable though

@Shannon my hospital gave me a whole magazine full of information like the process of pp bleeding, feeding cues for a newborn, etc

@Kalie next baby I’m having at your hospital 😂
