In the same boat. She doesn’t take a bottle and doesn’t care for milk in the evening. I’ve tried and gave up. She falls asleep for naps fine for dad. I was thinking of having him help out for a week or two by putting her to sleep but I know I’m dreaming . lol We might end up going to she’s 2 now. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
It’s definitely going to take another set of helping hands, someone who can take baby with a bottle and try to feed without you being around, first for naps then for bedtime then once baby is used to taking it from someone else you can start trying to bottle feed yourself. I was determined to have mine off before age 2, we started at 15 months and she was weaned in under 2 weeks. It’s not easy AT ALL which is why it’s going to take some extra help for sure
Definitely can’t give up either though, it just resets all the hard work you did and they’ll feel like it’ll always be a temporary stop and they’ll eventually go back on
I breastfed my daughter for 2 years. We did a weaning method. So we went from only feeds for nap and bed time to just bed time. When i completely stopped I told her “purple is just a pillow. No more purple”. (Idk why she called it purple but I went with it) She cried a few time but I just kept reminding her that it was a pillow. My child also doesn’t like milk and never took a bottle. If your baby does take a bottle or cup try using breast milk and slowly adding reg milk or water till there’s no more breast milk in it.
