I was about 5 weeks, I think the 6 week rule is more of guidelines rather than legal. But I could be wrong

I’m 7 weeks pp and I’m yet to drive 😅

Depends on your insurance, some won’t cover if your before 6 weeks x

I drove at 4 weeks, just check your insurance. Xx

I drove after exactly 1 week but also check with insurance to make sure you will be covered x

I'm not due until June, but my insurance states that I need to be signed as fit to drive by a doctor. Although it does state that they won't ask for proof

they told me it was safe when i was off the medication. but anytime in the car i strapped a stuffed animal to my stomach for comfort

I did at 8 wks woth my first 5 with my second but after my first trip after my second I felt uncomfortable and put it off 4 longer after x

Check with your insurance. I was back driving at 3 weeks after both of my csections (admiral and Hastings both just said as long as I could wear my seat belt, emergency stop and wasn’t on strong painkillers I could carry on)

I was driving at 2 weeks lol love driving.

2 weeks. Because I had to my husband went back to work. But if he was home he drove for a couple months probably

2 weeks because partner went back to work and had baby doctors appointments and my own to get to.

oh yeah the nurse also told me i was safe to drive if i was able to stomp my foot really hard and turn my head fast at the same time

6 days

I waited 8 weeks, midwife told me to drive when i feel comfortable and when i phoned my insurance they said the same thing. I guess all insurance companies are different though x

I drove after 3 weeks. Felt fine, too. It's just in case you have to emergency brake.

Check with your insurance, you likely won’t be covered if you get into an accident before 6 weeks x

2 weeks

2 weeks. I wasn’t on pain medication and I would stop abruptly without pain so the doctor said it was fine.

3 weeks. Doctor said as long as I can perform an emergency stop without pain. Insurance didn’t have any clauses about it either 🤷🏻‍♀️

6wks is when I was cleared by my doc that’s when they said it’s less likely to get the random twinges of pain that can make you lose control of a vehicle and that’s when you’re able to really turn your body without worrying about pulling the scar open etc… My friend was 2wks pp when she was cleared by her doctor and I was surprised but to each their own When you feel comfortable I’d do it but you’d be fully liable of anything happened and not been cleared by a doctor

4 weeks. I was told as long as I could go an emergency stop I could drive. The day before I took the bus and the amount of bracing I had to do round the bends I sat there thinking yup i can brace for an emergency stop I am driving!

I did it a week after mine. I had no choice. My fiance went back to work and my daughter was still in the nicu. So the only way I could see her is if I drove

I drove at 4 weeks postpartum

I drove after about a week doctor said if I feel comfortable enough to do so and I could emergency break insurance had nothing about c sections called them they said they have no rules on it uk doesn’t typically have rules on it just aslong as you feel Able to

3 weeks for me

My doc told me to wait 6 weeks so I waited that duration to be safe

I was taking lo driving (like lifting the car seat etc) 2 weeks pp and I popped some stitches

3 weeks

I started driving at 3 weeks

3 weeks

I drove after 2 weeks.

2 weeks

I drove a few days after mine due to the fact I didn't have any family members close by and I didn't have a partner at the time either. My doctors didn't stop me due to the fact of my situation but they said as long as I had something covering my belly so the seat belt didn't bother me I was fine.

2 weeks. All 3 times. My discharge paperwork said I was cleared to drive if I was off strong pain meds and could slam my foot down

I drove within a few days…all the follow up doc appointments. I was already off pain meds by that point

I was actually allowed to drive home 24 hours agter my emergency c section.. I live 5 mins from my local hospital ans had no other way.. refusing to pay 6w car park it was decided I could drive home.. Called my car insurance and they too agreed.. didn't then drive for 2w but my mw signed me off as being fine then too. X

I waited 6 weeks however I did feel fine to drive before that and I probably would drive sooner if I was to have another c section
