Contractions stopping?

Has anyone had contractions that have just stopped? I woke up at 5am with period like pains every 10 minutes that by 10am were more like severe period pains and bowel pains where It took my breath away and. Had to deep breath thorough it, when they reached 3-4 minutes intervals and really quite painful I had a hot bath for pain relief only for my contractions to slow down and eventually stop. It's now been about 2 hours In this time I've had thorbbing pains in my hips, particularly the right side and my back with some cramps but not on the same level, I'm so confused what's going on is this normal? Ive just had another contraction whilst typing this for the first time in 2 hours but not as strong as earlier on and a painful pulling session from my hips, pubic area to my anus if that makes any sense Please don't tell me these are braxton hicks surely they can't be so painful you can't speak or stand properly 😭 i also don't have tightening across my tummy it's all under bump, hips back and bum, my gosh if I shit on the birthing ball and put pressure on my bum the pain is unreal.

Same, had the same reaction on Thursday last week for the whole day. Had to go into the hospital but was false alarm😩😩😩 just 38 weeks

It's so annoying at this point 😂 giving us hope.. and then everything stops. Iv been having this for a week now every now and then😩 39 weeks here!

There's such a thing as false labour, or prodromal labour. They can be real contractions but they don't get more frequent or intense, and they don't cause dilation. With my second I had about 3-4 hours of these contractions about a week before he was born.

That's heart breaking 😭😂 if these haven't been contractions I'm actually terrifiedfor when they do come because they were BAD. Did yours just stop and never come back?

@Elizabeth i had them for 10 hours and for 2-3 hours they were. Coming atleast every 5 minutes so I'm feeling very robbed right now although they apparently have decided they want to come back and have had another 2 since. God knows but it's very frustrating, atleast I'm not the only one 😂 x

I was having contractions all day yesterday, went to bed, woke up with mild ones and they’ve completely stopped today. I am over due aswell by 3 days so I’m hoping they start up again as I have an induction booked for tuesday!x

Happened to me yesterday also. The bath made them stop

@Jolene did they come back? Mine are back again but all over the place but lasting longer. I just had one that lasted almost 4 minutes it was brutal 😭

Sounds like you could be progressing then. Mine not returned yet
