I've had two smears after my csection. I had one 3 months pp and one a year after due to abnormal results which turned out fine. Both were painless like my smears before a csection x
Should be absolutely fine x
I had mine 4 months after having my son and I was so nervous but it was the least painful one I've ever had and also the only smear which hasn't made me bleed. I did tell the nurse I was really nervous and she was lovely about it and just chatted to me about my son through the whole thing 💕. My insides were also messed with during my c section so honestly I'd recommend just going for it and maybe mentioning how nervous you are x
I had mine 6 months after my c-section and it was fine! If anything it was better. I was far more relaxed, if I can get through a c-section then a smear is easy peasy 😂
I’m having a smear done on Tuesday, I’ll be 4 months post C-section
@Tara I’m in on Tuesday too! 🫠 I’ll be thinking of you whilst commando with the nurse! 🤣 xx
I had my smear 2 months after and all ok 👌🏼 same discomfort as normal when having one, but no pain xx
It could feel exactly what she was doing but it wasn’t painful.
I had a smear six weeks after a vaginal birth. It was fine - no more painful than normal. X
I had one 3 months after my first section and didn’t feel a thing 😊
I was dreading it but she went slow and honestly I barely felt anything
I had mine 12 weeks after my c section. It was the standard level of uncomfortable but not painful x
How is it done please ?
I had mine at 3 months pp. I never realised that I had a tilted pelvis which is why previous ones had been really uncomfortable. But this one I didn’t even know it had been done until the nurse said
So I found it really painful but that’s because it turned out I had hypertonic pelvic floor (and this is partly what lead to that diagnosis!) If you’ve had no complications there shouldn’t be any issues with your smear.
