Nicu baby

Hello everyone :) I got my baby baptized in NICU right after she was born. She is now 16 months old and healthy 🙏 I just wanted to get some insight if I can baptize her idk if it’s considered a second baptism but I wanted to possibly do it on Easter Sunday but at church

Faith is something we must have no one can force Jesus into anyone he is accepted it has to be something they know but dedications are awesome

Are you catholic? I wouldn’t baptize her. She should make that decision when she believes in Jesus. Other wise it’s just ritual but doesn’t provide her salvation.

Understood. Yeah I wouldn’t baptize her. In scripture every baptism comes after belief in Jesus and not before. Infant baptism is a catholic liturgy and does not produce any salvation or any protections whatsoever. Christianity does not do this practice. Some Christian families will dedicate their children, but this is man made tradition and is not a “biblical” practice (meaning it is not instructed to do so) but it is not necessarily unbiblical either as it is the families that are making a statement to the church to raise their child up with God and the church family also comes around and likewise makes a statement of their commitment to help so to speak. Each church may do this differently.
