Sweep/symptoms
I had a sweep yesterday morning, was told I was already atleast 1cm dilated, I shortly after had a bloody show, had some uncomfortableness since but I’ve just started with continuous lightening crotch , is this normal ?

Yes I had spd but it has disappeared now and just lightening crotch loadsss aha xx
@kim well i take it as a good sign that baby is lowering down, especially after your sweep, but it’s still not necessarily a sign that labour is imminent, i have so many labour signs that don’t necessarily mean labour and he keeps getting my hopes up 🤣 xx
@Sinead it’s a nightmare, I’m due to be induced in the morning but dreading it as it’s so much more painful so was hoping she’d come today or tonight so I could avoid having to be induced🤣xx

yes, lightening crotch is essentially the baby putting lots of pressure on your pelvis especially the lower they get, the worse it gets! i have pelvic girdle pain, which in the last two weeks has kind of subsided for lightening crotch now 🥴xx
