I know a lot of people do have opinions on planned ones, but I actually had a very positive experience. I have posted my story a lot on other posts being not sure what people wanted to know but I will gladly answer any questions about my experience ❤️
Mines is Wednesday as well, omg goodluck!
My induction is Wednesday also! I was induced with my first as well due to health conditions. I will be honest I had a very hard labor and delivery but that wasn't because of the induction itself, it was my sons position and things like that! Feel free to message me and I can try to help as much as I can!!
I had a planned induction on 3rd April . I was just 1 cm dilated and then I got the folley ballon which helped in some more dilation , after which they gave petocin . I took epidural and slept for 3-4 hours . I was in labor for 17 hours including 20 mins of pushing . My experience was very smooth . I hope and pray that you too have a smooth one
You don’t have to do an induction. Lots of times they schedule them to make it easier on the hospital not you and baby. But there’s circumstances where some women do need them. Not sure what they told you was the reason for yours but you can put in the reason into the evidence based birth website and see if it’s a valid reason based on valid science and research. If it’s not then I wouldn’t do it.
I had to get an unplanned induction due to rising issues with possible pre e and HELPP syndrome. I originally wanted to go into labor naturally but due to the rising protein enzymes in my urine and blood it was appearing to be unsafe to wait. After I got my induction done I was kinda glad I got it. After experiencing contractions that were very bad after getting the folley balloon in and idk how I would have done laboring at home and waiting to be dilated enough for the hospital to admit me 😅. I have a very low pain tolerance so I was happy that all my laboring was at the hospital and monitored by nurses and I could get my epidural whenever I wanted. My induction also went super smoothly! My body took well to the balloon and pitocin and I was only in labor for 20 hours with 50 mins of pushing included in that amount. I think one of my fave things about induction was knowing I was in it for the long haul and would be leaving the hospital for a with my baby eventually ❤️
