C section recovery

How does one manage the pain from laying down in bed to getting up? That is my worst point I think, it absolutely kills me (5 days into post c section)

I’m 4weeks pp, things do get easier🙌💗 if you’re able, please try and rest best you can! Take your time sitting down and getting up if that’s when it hurts most, stay on top of your painkillers. It definitely shocked me how hard it was too! Be honest with your midwife when they visit over the next few weeks, get them to check your incision, talk about how you’re feeling physically and they’ll provide the best advice for you. Something that helped me personally; I too was struggling to lay flat in bed those first few days but my midwife said it’s because my scar got used to sleeping up right, I needed to be in a different position (all be it painful) to get it used to being in a different way if that makes sense? I was very quickly then able to lay on my sides and now even on my front for short periods of time🤗

I know it’s so horrible ain’t it. I remember crying when I couldn’t get out the bed one morning you just don’t realise how much you use your stomach muscles. I did see a hack to put a sheet under the mattress at your feet and use that to pull yourself up. Xx but yeah rest as much as you can x

For quite a while I slept with my pregnancy pillow. First few weeks I used it to support me in a half sitting up position to sleep Next few I laid down a bit more with it but not completely flat Then after that, used it when I first started sleeping on my side again for that additional support

You gotta take meds
