Waxing after episiotomy?

Hi all, I'm just over 6wks pp and I usually have a Hollywood wax. But I'm wondering if I should avoid this. Even though my scar is healed as I think waxing would irritate it. Can I shave or use hair removal cream? Also what are people's experiences having sex for the first time after episiotomy and forceps delivery? Thank youuuuu

Personally I'd give it 6 months before going for a wax as it will still be a little sensitive after 6 weeks. You can shave but be careful. Hair removal cream is probably you best bet for now. Sex after an episiotomy and forceps delivery is very uncomfortable and can be a little painful.

I shaved 6 weeks pp just take extra care when shaving that area. I also had sex 4 weeks pp and it was fine but everyone is different just take it slow and if anything hurts or doesn't feel right stop.

I had episiotomy and forceps and I’m still not fully healed due to stitches coming undone and I have birth just over 3 months ago! Sex was very sore and uncomfortable but I think it’s because I’m still not fully healed x

Episiotomy but no forceps. I don’t wax anymore so cannot comment but I would avoid for a little while, shaving is totally fine though. I started scar massage at 8 weeks. Sex was totally fine at 7 weeks. Episiotomy scar felt a little tender the day after.

I was told to wait until the stitches are fully healed. When I talked to waxing lady she said definitely to wait until 6 weeks pp, not earlier. I'm thinking of waxing around it and then trimming everything else or using the hair removal cream... I am 4 weeks pp now and so desperate for waxing to be honest, so uncomfortable...

I have episiotomy with forceps and my surgeon said that it can take up to 6 months to fully heal down there. I find that a little bit of moisture alone irritates it so I couldn't even imagine waxing now and I'm 4 months pp!
