I took my own nighties as a lot more comfier than hospital gowns
I was allowed to labor in my own gown and it was so much more comfortable than a hospital gown. I got mine from wearlila.com, it was designed by a labor and delivery nurse!
For both my babies I had to rush to hospital and gave birth with the clothes I had on, removed the bottom and end up half naked😅 But it's good to have your own things for after
No uniform. I gave birth in the maternity dress I came with, just pulled up above my belly. I didn’t take it off.
You can wear your own clothes or a hospital gown. With my first I wore a hospital gown because I'd vomited all over my clothes from the pain 😅 with my second I just took my trousers ans underwear off and kept the top on I was already wearing. Plenty of people just strip off and do it naked as clothes are overstimulating. You don't know how you'll feel!
You usually end up with out any clothing 🫣 I had some baggy clothes and a bikini 👙 there was a shower in my birthing suite
It's up to you the hospital give a gown but I opted to wear a baggy t-shirt 👕
I had emergency c-sections both times so hospital gowns but I used my own gowns after because I had to stay a few days
I used a hospital one for delivery. It will get mes messed up most probably. Also if you are planning to have an epidural it has to have easy access in the back. I had a gown from Frida kit and I happily used it after the delivery. For me being in labor was pretty overwhelming so I didn’t really care what I was wearing
I had a c-section so it was basically just hospital gown with nothing else on the table (like my bottom half was ON DISPLAY for like 10 people but hey, it is what it is). I had to wear their gown and the hospital pad/underwear until my catheter was removed but I definitely wore my own adult diapers (always discreet are awesome) and nightgowns/button up shirts/pants/shorts from days 2-4 in the hospital! I technically could have worn a cute “delivery gown” if I wanted to (no metal just in case you need a section is the rule in my hospital, but I had an elective one) but I didn’t want it to pay for a nice one just to wear it once (I didn’t know if I’d go into labor naturally before my section date and I heard it gets pretty gross if you wear it during natural birth) so I stuck with the hospital gown until I could change. It ended up being the least of my worries! Best advice I was given: bring a robe!
I was in the hospital gown for all of 10 minutes. I bought my own gowns but honestly it was so hot in my room even with the AC cranked up to the point where my husband was freezing, I still spent my entire labor and delivery and 12 hours after my delivery in a nursing bra and mesh hospital undies. I bought a two pack of delivery gowns off of Amazon that also work as nursing gowns and I've worn them as normal dresses a few times since my son was born
Depends where u are and your way of delivery. For C Section they give you a gown, for vaginal they normally don't. Uk
I took a birthing nighty with buttons on the back and a feeding part at the front, this was for a birth center so you can wear what you want to birth in. If you're in theatre then they give you a gown :)
I ordered a night gown off of Amazon because the hospital gowns usually have your butt exposed lol and I didn't want to deal with all of that.

@Laura oh yes, I forgot to mention in my post. I’m in the UK. Thanks all for your suggestions 💛 ☺️
The hospital provides a gown but you can always bring your own PJs, gown etc (whatever is most comfortable) for after birth
