3 weeks I felt more or less normal :)
Around 2 weeks I was back doing things as usual but with caution and 3/4 weeks I was fine - started driving again at 5 weeks x
@T✨ I haven’t had it yet ha I’m due to have it on 15th May and the concert isn’t until early August but I had a vaginal birth last time so I don’t know what to expect for recovery, I’ve seen people saying they’re having issues months after and it’s worried me! X
Oh If the concert isn’t til August you’ll be absolutely fine x
At 4 weeks I’d finished all strong meds, and was signed off from Dr to be able to drive. I gave it a few days as didn’t feel confident yet, so I’d say if I was gonna a concert I’d give it atleast 6 weeks x
Few weeks, definitely over a month
6 week mark for me
1st one - took me a few weeks. 2nd one - felt like I could walk straight after if I wasn't linked up to the catheter, drain and mechanical compression bands that I got fed up with after 24hrs and asked the nurses to take them off so I could get up and do stuff
About a week in a half. I was elective surgery and I forced myself to move around ALOT. I think the definitely helped a lot, that and wearing my band from the hospital. Just working those muscles and pushing through the bit of pain when I did move made a world of difference.
By day 4 I’d been on a 2 mile walk and was sat in the pub having a glass of wine! It’s my first baby and I chose to have an elective so I was completely aware of what my recovery would be like but I promise you it’s all about mindset! I was out of bed 4 hours after surgery and I can hand on heart tell you I never ever had pain! You will be fine, get up as soon as you can, keep moving and for the first few days take your paracetamol and ibuprofen xxx
Back to normal within a week, driving 12 days pp
@Aimee same for me!
Well these messages are a relief thank you I’ve been so worried how long it would take especially with a tornado 5 year old to deal with at the same time. Hoping that by day 4 I could also be at the pub 😂
All the pain was gone by week 4

Day 3 I felt comfortable moving around more. I'm on day 7 now and I feel great. My only limitations are lifting heavy things or getting something down from high up.
By 4 weeks I was in a lot of pain but was able to walk about with breaks. But I was black and blue across my stomach after my emergency c section and I'm pretty sure they refractored my rib (dont fall fown a cliff is hurts 🤦♀️) forcing her out
5 weeks
Im 4 weeks and 3 days pp and still taking meds and struggling
I was feeling good at about 4wks but I also made myself get up and move a lot immediately after and was taking short walks outside around my neighborhood with baby to get readjusted
By the second week I was out for walks with the pram, albeit slower than usually, I was driving by week 4/5 I think but I felt normal again by around 3-4weeks, if you’re seated I would go! X or just sell them last minute if you’re not sure x
I’m on day 9 and pretty much feel fine, no painkillers anymore, no pain, just no heavy lifting and I haven’t tested longer than a mile walk yet
I had Jimmy Carr booked four weeks after and I had to miss it! Definitely underestimated how long it would take to both physically and mentally adjust.
About 2 weeks but still taking it easy nothing too harsh up until 6 weeks no heavy lifting not walking too much otherwise it hurt me xx
2 to 3 weeks i was getting out and about
For me it took about 2 weeks for me to feel like myself again after my c-section but I think you just really need to listen to your own body for other people it might take shorter or longer
I had mine 5 days ago and I’m pretty much back to doing the majority of things. Mine was also elective. Obviously everyone’s recovery is different x
About a week or so but I had very calm electives and no issues, I was shopping both times that week and at the park walking slowly.
With my daughter I had a section in the June & went to a concert in the September & was totally fine! If you’re breastfeeding take a pump with you!
I’m two weeks pp today and I feel fairly normal, just making sure I don’t push myself too hard in case it slows recovery. I felt relatively okay from day 5 xx

I started doing light chores around day four, same with little walks. I’m 4 weeks pp now and we do multiple longer walks every day but I also try to rest a lot
I had an emergency c-section and it was less painful after about 10 days and about 3-4 weeks to feel more like myself again
I started feeling better around 6 week mark I was still bleeding but in terms of physical activity I was a lot better. I started doing normal activity after 3 weeks. Just make sure u rest as much as u can so u can heal quicker! How long has it been since u had ur c section x
