Uncomfortable about breastfeeding

For me, it was the fact I get overstimulated and touched out quite easy and was afraid of feeling that way, as well as not wanting to feel like a cow with udders 🤣 there also, for me, was not any real privacy in my home so I had to be in my room if I was going to do that, which made me feel very shut in and like... there wasn't a way to hide it or be subtle about what I was doing

I had a friend who was big into nipple play and she was concerned about getting turned on while nursing. She swore she wouldn’t even try breastfeeding but she did end up pumping while her daughter was in the nicu but still didn’t want to nurse at all once she was home

Probably it depends on people’s experiences, growing up and the people around them. Even though I come from a family where no one had breastfed, we’re quite an open family, when I was a kid I saw my mum naked all the time. It never bothered me having my boob out in front of family or even in public once I’d done it a few times. Also helped that I had a group of mum friends who mostly breastfed. I find it more uncomfortable when my toddler is being feral in public, probably because my mum was very strict and me and my sister were extremely well behaved.
