I was BF my baby once a night sometimes twice, however I believe it was only for comfort not hunger. we did Ferber sleep training as he was doing split nights and whilst it wasn’t my priority to drop feeding him in the night he stopped waking for feeds via the sleep training. My plan was to do timed checks for any night time wakes apart from one feed anytime past 3am, but that the post 3am would be only 5 mins. This happened for 2 nights, I popped him off after 5 minutes and then did timed crying checks if he didn’t automatically settle after and then on night 3 he stopped waking. I should also add that I BF him at wake up and pre second nap but I recently moved him to a bottle of formula pre bed
@Hannah did it take him long to get used to the bottle or did you use sippy cup
I kept trying him with a bottle everyday often just letting him play with it, I tried various bottles and also found that he preferred to take formula vs expressed breast milk
Thank you
