Waking up screaming

Anyone else struggling with their baby randomly waking up screaming? My daughter was sleeping through the night and has been for 2 - 3 months now. All of sudden, she started randomly waking up (different times every night) screaming. We take her a paci and lay her back down, but she just cries until one of us goes and lays with her. I don't mind the snuggles, but I also have a 6 week old that I nurse. My husband also thinks we shouldn't get in the habit of going in and snuggling her, and that's why she keeps getting up. I don't see it that way and will always snuggle my girl. Any advice on what could be going on and how to help her get back to sleeping through the night?

Following because my little girl is going the exact same thing! We’ve been going in and out until she settles back down

My baby who just turned one does the same thing. He was sleeping in his own crib until recently. Now he screams and cries at midnight like clockwork until we go get him. And then he wakes up at three for a bottle :/.

Literally same! My son has just turned 1, been like this for two weeks now

my daughter did the same as well, wake up screaming after sleeping the whole night for a while. what we did was do a small 4 oz bottle and change her diaper, she would drink the bottle and either go back to sleep or fuss around in her crib until she put herself back to sleep. it was definitely so hard and random! even now, after the whole ordeal she will sometimes get up at night, we still just do a small bottle. i think it was definitely a phase because it didnt go over a week or so that it lasted. but still not sure exactly what caused it but im glad it wasn’t just happening to us 😭

Same thing here! It’s been rough.

Hi everyone! I have 4 kids. This is normal! It’s called “night terrors/sleep regression”. My 2 year old & 1 year old is currently going through it at the same time. It will eventually pass! When it happens, just gently try to wake them up from it. They kind of go into what I call a “hallucinating” state. They’re eyes may be open & they’re still screaming, you just have to wake them from it. If you have any worries, talk to your pediatrician! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
