Baby waking up…

So my little one has 2 naps a day and goes to be around 7 he’s always tired enough i ensure there’s been a long enough wake window he wakes up maybe once before i go to bed for his dummy to be put back in however these past two nights he’s woken up in hysterics around an hour after i’ve put him to bed, he won’t let me pick him up he keeps flinging himself back it’s really hard as i’m a single parent i don’t get much alone time so it’s really frustrating when i’m trying to get a bath have my tea. i also get worried as the screams sound like he’s being badly hurt even if im not touching him i don’t want the neighbours to think im hurting him. I’m just wondering if anyone’s been through the same and has any tips?

Could he be teething? We've had the same a few nights this past week and yesterday we could feel a little tooth poking through. I'm sure your neighbours won't think you're hurting him, you could always knock and just say you think he might be teething so sorry for the crying at night. They're bound to understand ☺️

I’m not sure he was teething pretty bad a few weeks ago and now his bottom two teeth have come through so it’s a hard one but thankyou🫶

We are going through the same :( is there no family that could help? Xx

Fortunately i have my mum who gives me a break now and then which i appreciate but its just so exhausting isn’t it when you’ve tried everything you can and nothings helping, you just feel useless xx

Yeah definitely! I have my fiancé and it’s still rough so I feel for you so much!!!! X

It could be teething or it might even be separation anxiety. You could try some calpol before bed and if he still wakes screaming then it could be separation anxiety. I'm also a single mum and it can be hard. My lo went through a screaming stage and I still have no idea whether it was teething, separation, poorly, hungry, over tired, under tired.... the list goes on. I just carried on everything exactly the same and after a couple weeks, he's all back to normal (1 wake up for a feed but with the screaming like he's being tortured!)

Didn’t even think about the separation anxiety it’s mainly just me and him so that makes sense thankyou so much! x
