My daughter is 12 weeks old tomorrow and will only contact nap. No matter what I’ve tried. However at night sleeps alone in her crib. I have found baby wearing her in the sling allows me to get stuff done! I know it’s tough, but one day they won’t want all the extra cuddles so soak it up while you can🩷
Not going through this with my son but did with my first! She only contact napped until she was 8 months old. Only reason she stopped is because I put her down in her cot upstairs and basically just stuck at it. Then she napped really well x
We do lots of contact / carrier / pram naps but am starting to try one nap a day in the cot (varying success). Supposedly first nap of the day should be easiest. I make it dark, white noise, love to dream swaddle and then at the moment settle her all the way to sleep patting her chest / bum until she’s in a deep sleep. It’s hard work but will just keep persevering with one a day and should start to see progress in the next couple of months hopefully!
I saw the health visitor yesterday and she told me to try the following - as they're falling asleep transfer them to the crib / next to me and then place a hand on their chest / tummy It is of course trial and error
I'm going through this as well, it's so hard basically trapped on the sofa for the majority of the day. They'll outgrow it so try to appreciate having the chance to do nothing while you can ❤️ I've tried to get out once a day in the pram for a nap. My LO cried for the first 10 minutes of our walk yesterday but eventually fell asleep 😭 I'm also trying to take other mums advice and using the baby carrier today around the house and would definitely recommend it!
