Id say it was unlikely! I was a morning slot (had to be in at 7) and due to being second on the list and an emergency coming in before me I wasn’t down to theatre until 12. I made it back to the ward at 3:30/4ish and my LO was only just able to see me but only for about 30mins as I was exhausted!
I had morning. Was in for 7 am and didn’t have mine until 1 pm then I was in recovery ward for about 5 hours before going to main ward.
I had a morning slot and they allowed my sister to visit with her baby not even an hour after my little boy arrived. It's always worth asking your midwife or the midwife with you at the time of your section.
Thank you! Back to the drawing board for childcare/sibling meeting then!
I was in recovery until the next day and I had a morning op so I’d say unlikely as well
Unlikely. I'd plan it for the next morning.
I was second on the morning slot and my bub wasn’t actually born until 4.09pm! All depends on what happens on the day
Honestly I wouldn’t expect to be able to because emergencies happen and you could end up not going down until 4-6pm. We got told to come in for 11am and we arrived at 10:30am but didn’t go in to the theatre until 4pm
I had to be there for 12 30, c section ended up being 17 30 and didn't go to ward until 1am so likely to be the following morning.
I haven’t had mine yet, but I’ve planned for my mum to watch my daughter and bring her up the day afterwards when my partner comes up, just to give ourselves some time with baby and give myself some time to find my feet a bit, as much as I’m so excited for my daughter to see her brother I also want to make sure I’m doing okay enough to see my daughter xx
I would say unlikely..... I went in at 9:30 for my section and was in recovery until 4:30. They won't let anyone see you until you are on the ward. If you had a morning slot then its realistic he could see you that day, but not an afternoon one.
