Pregnancy insomnia

I need tricks to help me sleep. I'm constantly tired but when I try and go to bed it can take me and hour and a half to actually fall asleep. Everytime I wake up it feels like I'm wide awake. I've tried melentonin but it doesn't seem to help me at all. I'm a super tired mama with a one year old and need the energy to try and keep up with him.

Talk to your doctor about a prescription. I was prescribed Amitriptyline low dose for sleep as needed. In my case I didn't end up needing it because it was stress from a work situation keeping me up. When that got resolved I was able to sleep, but my psychiatrist said she prescribes Amitriptyline for sleep in pregnancy pretty often

My doc told me to take Tylenol pm

I dealt with that a lot during my first trimester too. I started taking magnesium glycinate supplements right before bed, and it made such a difference. There are also magnesium spray oils you can apply before sleep that can really help with insomnia.

Check iron levels. Can be linked to low iron.

Magnesium! It was life savour for me.
