^^ my son SCREAMED every diaper changed until he was 3 months
Our 7 week old has always been like this. Very rare not to have a meltdown at nappy time 👀
My LO was the same, he is 12 weeks now and rarely cries during nappy changes now. I think they just get used to it after a bit x
I always play a music thing and sing along and she loves it, it makes her smile, giggle with your baby and make funny faces or funny noises too - see if it can distract them, I also put a muslin or towel underneath her ao she isn’t cold on the changing mat and I also use warm water and cotton wool instead of wet wipes as they are cold-but a friend of mine said they use a wet wipe warmer! I think you can get one on Amazon. Hope this helps but I did have her screaming once in a changing station in a cafe and she was freezing and had a poonami and because I had to strip her down and she was cold and I used cold wet wipes as that’s all I had to hand to be quick and she hated it. So all the aforementioned tips should help you fingers crossed
Put something warm under him. It’s usually the cold changing mat that freaks them out.
Not sure if this will help but we've got into a Brilliant routine with our 4 week where we'll half feed, change and then finish off the feed. He rarely cries and knows exactly what to expect. Apparently if you do it consistently for at least 3 times, they see it as routine x
Yes! Weirdly someone suggested giving baby a diaper to play with while you change the diaper and it worked for us!!! You wouldn’t think it would but it did!
How old is your LO ? When the screaming started we started changing my LG standing ( she couldn’t stand independently ) usinf panties and it got much better
I have the black and white pictures in front of my 4 week old and he usually gets really into looking at them. It doesn't work all the time but mostly it does seem to keep him busy enough that he doesn't notice he's being changed.
How old? No child likes to get changed. I guess the cold, who knows. But if they know it's about to happen, i would assume they are ready to potty train.
