Anyone else struggling with sleep?

I keep waking up at 3am for a wee then I cannot sleep again until 6-7am! Even then I don’t sleep for long! I’m back to work next week and going to really struggle as I get up at 6:30am to get ready. Don’t really think there’s advice to be given, just wanted to vent and know it’s not just me ! I’m 32w tomorrow.

Yep, that’s me!! Been awake since 3:30am and I can’t get back to also!! It’s so annoying xx

@Amy I’ve even tried putting my phone away on charge but I’m just tossing and turning. Doesn’t help baby is having a dance party too. Just frustrating as it’s getting lighter outside and I’ve had no sleep 😩. Plus now I’m hungry for toast or something but know if I get up I’m defo not sleeping haha

Currently awake after needing to get up for a wee and get a drink. I’m usually up at 3am for a wee but little lady was kind to me today and waited until 5am before dancing on my bladder!! I usually can get back to sleep after an hour or so but it is really difficult. I’m assuming my body is getting me ready for when she is here 😂

@Natalie exactly . When people say to me about not sleeping with a newborn, I say I’m prepared because I don’t sleep whilst pregnant !

Yesss I fall asleep so quick initially but then wake up roughly every 2 hours, sometimes for a wee, sometimes to roll over, and no idea the other times!

Yes this is me 👋🏻 I wake up at 3am ish most nights, and lie there awake until at least 5am! Baby is having a dance party! I try everything to get back to sleep! I think it’s evolutions way of preparing us for lots of night feeds and lack of sleep when baby is here 😩

This is me has been for months ! Hardly sleep ! Up all through thr night weeing and I'm 32 weeks, babys head down engaging though already so that's probably why! Got growth scan next week so see what's going on xx

I am so sleep deprived that it took me a second to realise I didn't post this! 😂 It's driving me crazy. I'm up from 2-4:30 nearly every night at the moment!

Feel like I could have written this myself 😂 so you’re definitely not alone. I’m just going with the mindset it’s my body preparing me for sleepless nights and night feeds 😂 xxx

Yap me too, I wake up because of the pelvic girdle pain. Currently I’m working from home so not a problem but worried about next week as I need to go into the office.

I wake up so many times in the night, back to work next week too but at least I only have to do 5 weeks until the next holiday, then it's MAT leave. So tired!

Yes :( I have a really overactive bladder and wee at least 8/9 times a night! 5 hours sleep is a really good night for me. I find a bath before bed helps, leaving the window cracked, not drinking anything past 7.30pm xx

@Niki even if I don’t drink before bed I still somehow wee at least twice on the night. I don’t have GD or anything

@Gemma same my last working day is the day we break up for May half term but I’m tech on maternity from 2nd June

I wake up a couple of times during the night for a wee but luckily have an ensuite so it’s not too disruptive. I try not to drink 2 hours before bed. When the baby kicks and wakes me up around 4-5am I know she’s hungry so I just have a yoghurt or a banana and go back to bed and she settles down. I always keep lights very dim. I also have a really good pregnancy pillow (baby Bub) so I can easily get comfy again. Hope that helps!

@Jacinta I sleep in the dark and have a pregnancy pillow. I think my downfall is I’ll check my phone coz I can’t sleep.

100% me too! Waking up at 5am every day now and really struggling to get back to sleep. The baby is SO active at that time so I think maybe that’s why! I’ve taken to using that time to practice hypnobirthing/relaxation stuff which does help but it’s not actual sleep… 7 weeks to go 🥴

I wake up at 5.30 every day (often go to bed at midnight) and really struggle to get back to sleep. I’ve had some success playing Sudoku which helps me feel sleepy again

Yep this is me also!! If the heartburn doesn’t wake me up it’s the wee, the baby, the overthinking or the lightening crotch 😂 6 weeks to go and counting

@Sarah your body produces fluid apparently, I’m exactly the same - I wee so much but probably only drink a litre a day (which isn’t a lot at all!)
