Woke up in so much pain !

Hi, I’m 3 weeks post c section and last night I slept in my bed for the first time since having the baby. I was laying down on my side for most of the night. This morning when I woke up it hurt so bad to walk, I felt like I just had my c section. Anyone knows why this could be ??

Are you taking your pain medication regularly? Please make sure you are on top of your pain relief till you get better

@Hridzi no I stopped them because they were making me really constipated 😭

Take lactulose as well as them to balance it out!

Take pain killers along with a laxative to help the constipation and sleep on your back, only roll on your side to get out of bed

@Kelsey when can we start sleeping on our side ? I didn’t know we wasnt meant to

I was told after my 6 week check when they could see my stitches were healing properly but I guess it’s as and when you feel like you can. Strongly recommend a pillow fort to keep you from lying totally flat then it doesn’t pull as much when you need to get up and down

You are allowed to sleep on your side but as it hurt you it’s probably better to avoid and sleep on your back so your scar doesn’t get squished x
