Sleeping through the night

My little boy used to sleep really well, pretty much 7-7 but over the past month he is waking up a couple of times for a bottle. He has 3 really good meals throughout the day plus a snack (which he doesn’t always want) but also had a bedtime bottle, a 11pm bottle then a 4am bottle. Can someone help, am I doing something wrong??

Do you think this might just be for comfort rather than him being hungry? Have you tried to offer him water instead? Or don't go straight in to him to see if he self settles? Sorry if you've already tried all this xxx

We thought maybe it was a soothing thing, I was thinking of lowering the ounces to see if that helps. He is quite good at self-soothing but no we haven’t tried giving him time, he tends to get quite upset with his crying. Sometimes water works but not always, he does love his water normally so knows the difference. Thank you for your help xx

Exactly the same boat, I think it’s comfort but she also self settles well and she also wakes in the night and goes back to sleep. I don’t know what the right thing to do is so I just pick my battles and not night weaned. She is going 1830-430 so like 10 hours so assume this still classifies as sleeping through!

@Kirsty Could you try doing a later bedtime If she will last to make a later wake up or is it her routine? Xx

Apparently there may be a bit of a regression/leap at this point, so it may disrupt sleep. My boy wakes up 4 times in the night religiously 🥲

@Emily we have tried but she gets back from nursery shattered, she’ll only do 2x 20-30 min naps there and is normally up by 1500 so she really struggles to last much longer. Tonight I’ve put her down now (1930) as she sleeps a bit better at home, but we’ve all had d&v and her appetite has gone so not judging tonight on anything
