My LO is 3.5 weeks and has been drinking between 4 and 5oz for a good week or so. She does then sometimes have a more ‘snacky’ feed of 2oz in the day but consistently is hitting between 4 and 5. I think so long as her nappies are ok and she’s not sicking it up then if she’s hungry give her what she wants!
@Bec okay thank you it’s just my other 2 wasn’t like this she seems my very hungry baby 😂
My 4 week old has just gone up to 5oz! In the day he wants feeding every 2 hours! At night he will go 3/4 hours! Our HV told us that sometimes when they drain a bottle they don’t feel ‘full’ even if they are so adding another oz will let them feel full. They may only want a bit extra than 4 but not quite 5 so I’d go up and I don’t it’s hard if your formula feeding to see wastage with the price but if they leave some they leave some! At least they’re full
This is normal so I wouldn’t worry, if baby is asking for more then offer more. My 17 day old is offered 5oz every feed. He doesn’t always finish it, but sometimes does and seems content. Both of my babies were on 4/5oz by this age 😊
