It’s horrendous. Is there anyway I could ask to be induced before 40 weeks?
Nipple stimulation and long walks, I was in slow labour twice, the first time it did the trick, second time I had to have some induction gel (went from 1cm to 10 in an hour 😆😆) I was in slow labour for about a week both times and with my first my waters went about 24 hours before she was born, was due an induction that morning but didn’t need it. with my second my waters went about 36 hours before hence why I had the gel xx
My midwife’s were very against giving me an induction (until my waters broke because of the risk of infection) as slow labour is a very common thing. Definitely speak with triage or your normal midwife about the possibility though if it’s what you really want. One thing I will say, I was only in pain during slow labour when my daughter was back to back, she decided to go for a little shuffle but managed to get herself back to the normal position for delivery thank god!! The midwife recommended hands and knees, rocking back and forth to help her and me with positioning her back xx
I feel for you because I had a similar experiment though mine lasted almost 3 weeks and I had to be induced in the end. The contractions were horrible especially at night and the pain was in the back. So paintful and they started when I was 37 weeks pregnant
