VBAC

Is anyone willing to share there experiences with a VBAC please? Positive or negative, I’m struggling to decide on a birth plan with my second as my first ended up an emergency C-section. Also if anyone had a planned section after a pervious emergency one how did you find the recovery? I’ve seen some people saying it’s an easier process/recovery but worried as I’ll still have a toddler running around at home and feel like a vaginal birth might be easier to recover from? (Although I know sometimes complications do happen and cause a longer recovery time)

I had a water VB. Recovery was only a few days, even with a tear and haemorrhaging post birth (no idea why I haemorrhaged). Definitely easier on the body than a C-section (I would imagine). Good luck!

I had a vbac in 2021 after an emergency C-section with my oldest in 2018. I have to say it was the best experience of my life and I’ll be doing it again this year with my 3rd baby!! I don’t have anything negative to say about it whatsoever xxx

I had two emergency c-sections (2018 and 2020) And then my third had a very healing home water vbac (HBA2C) last March (2024) I did have to transfer in to hospital after for stitches as had third degree tear but still found recovery much easier than either c-section… which I was grateful for running around after my 3 year old and 5 year old with my new born 😅 Happy to chat through any of my experiences x
