Sleep help please!!!

My little boy is almost 8 months and goes to bed between 6:30 and 7pm some people think this is early but he only has two naps a day and will sleep until around 7-8AM (still wakes every 2/3 hours for feeding as he’s breastfed) and that seems to be working for us. His bedtimes used to be 9pm but every week I would push it back to 15 mins until we found what worked with him and us x

I use the Huckleberry app and it's fab, my little girl is 4 months and she goes to bed around 8 every night, she's combi feed as well and sleeps 8pm-6:30/8am How much sleep is he having during the day? Maybe reduce it so he's tired earlier as well?

@Leah thank you!! Going to try reducing it 15 mins every week, do you find you get enough sleep still feeding through the night as that’s what I was worried about like not going to bed at the same time as them if that makes sense xx

@Sophie thank you!! His naps are always a bit random at the minute as he’s teething, but can sleep 2hrs in a nap and then maybe another 2 1 hr naps generally, do you breastfeed during the night? Does she sleep through the night? Xxx

@Noush I absolutely feel like I get enough sleep I go to bed around 10/11pm most nights sometimes earlier sometimes later. But 9/10 times I feel rested enough. He is technically combi fed because he has one bottle mid day but is breastfed the rest of the time he is slowly having longer stretches at night especially since eating more solids during the day <3

@Noush I used to but when she started feeding for less time and falling asleep during I decided to drop the night feed she was having (only one maybe two) and now she sleeps straight through, it's very rare that she actually wakes for a feed now I was worried so before bed she gets a breast feed and a bottle top up (usually around 4-6oz)xx

@Sophie did you just drop the feeds by giving her the bottle before bed and feeding before bed?? Does she feed a lot during the day?? Sorry for all the questions😅xx

@Noush aha it's ok! I was worried so I decided to give her a top up bottle and that's when she started sleeping longer and then I dropped the night feeds one at a time, like if she woke I'd just gently get her back to sleep and if she woke again then I'd feed her but that wasn't for long, now she goes straight through til morning She feeds exactly every two hours atm but if she's asleep for a nap it can be 3hrs, I'm slowly transitioning to bottle feeds as I won't be able to express at work xx
