Is it selfish of me?

I’m on my fourth and final baby and I’ve always wanted to breastfeed but have never managed it until now… problem is she’s insatiable and I have two other girls under 6 that also continuously need my help and attention as well as an extreme case of hungry Velcro baby. She feeds every 2-4 hours even at night still at 8months. Am I selfish for wanting to introduce formula either once a day or through the night? Has anyone done this for personal reasons? I’m so happy I’m able to breastfeed and feel honoured that I’ve managed this far but the pain and the lack of time is becoming overwhelming.

Why don’t you try to express some milk as well as formula? That’s what I did it’s not for everyone but you’ve got to do what’s best for you too xx

Well done! Have you tried feeding in a sling/carrier so you can move around a little? Not selfish at all to be thinking about combi feeding. My baby takes a bottle of formula in the evening before bed so I can get a wee break 😊

Not selfish at all. I ended up doing combi at 9 months because she would feed all night non stop and it was really exhausting as i got no sleep at all. So it can be overwhelming just listen to your body 💕

@Gemma I do express and have a freezer stash that she refuses. She has taken it before but suddenly started to refuse 🤦🏻‍♀️ she will also take formula begrudgingly but not off of me
