Baby sleeping

Usually my 6 week old is great at sleeping through the night, recently she has been fighting sleep through the day but getting a good sleep through the night. Tonight she has been a nightmare, I get her to fall asleep but minutes later she will wake up and start crying, I have fed her, winded her, changed her nappy, gave her a dummy, honestly I’ve tried everything. She’ll fall back asleep but only for a few minutes, she must be knackered 🥲 currently she is asleep on my lap, for context she’s usually asleep by 11:30, it’s now 1:30 and I’m tired too 🥲😢 any ideas on why she’s doing this?

Sounds like a growth spurt and might need more comfort from you.

There is something called 6 week sleep regression maybe she is going through that- have a look on Google xx

I'd prepare yourself for ups and downs on the sleep journey until baby is a bit older, I don't know anyone who had a baby sleep through at 6 weeks old and just continue to sleep through forever 😅. Sleep regressions, sickness, teething etc happen. As a parent you have to just go with the flow. Have you downloaded the wonder weeks app? That can help know roughly when regressions will happen. My oldest started sleeping through at 8 months old and he's 19 months now and still does, anyone I tell this says wow that's amazing he is such a good sleep at such a young age so I wouldn't expect too much from a 6 week old personally! Once you accept that babies sleep fluctuates you'll find it easier to deal with
