Hip problems

Has anyone else experienced issues with their hips after having a C-section? My hips keep going what feels like out of place and cause pain and I have to move them back into place to be able to stop the pain and to move normally again.

How pp are you?

@Samantha I’m 3 months pp but had a 2 week set back as I was re-admitted a couple of days after for suspected sepsis then re-admitted a week after that as my wound reopened

I think your hip can hurt I mean my does I think it weak pelvis area. I'm trying to strengthen mine x

I had loads of back and hip issues and went to an osteopath after 2.5 years and it helped a lot

@Samantha I do the exercises they give so unsure if it would be weak pelvis area

@Freya ooh I might give that a try then! I have diagnosed issues with my back but never thought of going to an osteopath to see if that would help!

I’m 7 weeks pp and definitely had days where I’m in pain with my right hip and feels like I need to unlock it somehow, I’ve been YouTubing exercises to get hips and pelvis moving and that helps. I spoke to a yoga teacher about it and she said your body’s are designed to keep moving so if your laid on the couch for long periods of time or laid on your side it causes the pain, but difficult when you’re trying to recover and heal from a c section to move about. Try daily exercises focusing on hip and pelvis, that’s helped me.

Have you looked into whether or not you have hip dysplasia? It's pretty common with women and having kids/weight gain etc definitely makes it worse.

@Tiffany no I haven’t. I will have to have a look into it!

Yeah honestly it helped so much. I had 4 sessions and have had barely any pain since. If u happen to be in London I could send you her details.
