Stomach Flu

Anyone else experience the stomach flu while pregnant and with a young baby. I was up all night puking and am struggling with that and body aches. Anytime I eat I just can’t keep it down. I will have no help today until 8 at night. We have no family near by and I want to cry thinking of my day. I feel so awful, am 11 weeks pregnant, and have an 8 month old. We have no family/friends near by and it’s going to be a struggle. Then I go back to work Tuesday from 6 to 6. I guess I’m just venting but feel free to post your experiences or any advice

I had had stomach flu but not while I was pregnant. You got to let it just pass that's all I can say. There no cure. It cures within a day or two. My baby had it as well so it was definitely a difficult time. Are u sure u aren't haven't nausea from being oregnant?

@swathyI was thinking that at first but I don’t think so because of the body aches.

Yes. I went to the ER and they put me on an IV because it dehydrated me. Just make sure you try your hardest to keep yourself hydrated.

@Jackie I am trying! It’s hard to consume anything. I did end up calling my doctor and she said if I can’t keep anything down within 24 hours to go to the ER for IV fluids. I have had maybe a few sips of water since midnight but I feel I might be able to drink a little soon

@Liz That’s good don’t try and drink too much at a time. Just small sips often. There’s this Gatorade water that has electrolytes I would try and get that if you can.

@Jackie thank you! I’ll try to get that drink

@Jackie do you remember if you felt better after getting IV fluids?

@Liz No, I was so miserable. I just had to let it run its course. I couldn’t tell the difference of being hydrated or dehydrated because even when they hydrated me, I still felt terrible.

@Jackie good to know. This sucks lol

@Liz Yes I know! Sleep & water are your best friends rn lbs

@Liz They have it at target and Walmart. Maybe other places too that I don’t know of.
