Which formula to buy?

I’m a first time mum to be and hoping to breastfeed but going to buy some formula just incase. I’m feeling overwhelmed with all the different brands and struggling to choose which one to go for. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or advice?

We use the aptimel advance formula my boy tolerates it well and there’s a lot of research that has gone into the formulation of it x

They are all pretty much the same as they have to follow guidelines ect, I’d just get whichever your local shop always has in stock then when baby is here if they have cmpa or anything like that change it accordingly. Personally I used kendamil and with my first but it’s gone down hill if I formula feed my next baby I will use something else

I use kendamil. I think it’s the only formula to use whole milk as it’s main ingredient so less oils and no soy

I use Kendamil too my son gets on perfect with it x

I used kendamil but switched to cow and gate x

I bought cow and gate as it was the cheaper option and they are all pretty much the same

I would suggest maybe just picking up a pack of the ready made formula for now rather than a big tub. I was hoping to breastfeed so that’s what I did, as when little one is first born they won’t take much anyway so if you need to use it it should last a couple of days. You can get packs of little bottles with sterile teats in, I think Tesco sell a 6 pack of Aptamil. Unfortunately breast feeding didn’t go well for us and we use Aptamil now but as others have said they are strictly regulated so should all be the same! Good luck! X
