How to keep motivation pumping in the middle of the night

The last couple days I’ve been having a very hard time with keeping up on pumping in the middle of the night and I have noticed that it is starting to affect my supply. I am almost 4 weeks postpartum, and I was keeping up with his feeding up until recently. Any advice to bring my supply back up would be greatly appreciated.

I found a good show Netflix series with multiple seasons so keep me entertained lol it got me out of bed like I looked forward to the next episode. I watched Younger bc they’re shorter episodes so I would watch one while I pump and then go back to bed. It’s so important not to skip middle of the night pumps till you’re like a good 4-5 months in and do it gradually. Around 4 months I started going an extra hour between pumps for a few weeks and then another hour etc. I didn’t start skipping them all together until 8 months.

It might be that your supply is regulating as well. I used to pump right before I went to sleep, if I woke up naturally during the night I would pop myself up and pump, I did wearable pumps and then I would watch a show on my phone, then I would pump when my husband got up at 5:30 in the morning. Are they eating during the night?

They can go 4 hours at night without eating they will eat at 11 then eat between 2 and 3 then at 5 they will eat again

Then that should be fine to pump during. Mine switched to breast around 8 weeks (he struggled to latch until then). Good luck, it's exhausting to pump then feed. I was constantly worried about my supply.

I wish I could just put him on the Brest but I have very sensitive nips but this is the only kid my milk came in well

I definitely understand. I think it might just be regulating if you're pumping when he's eating. The TV show is definitely the best way to help you stay up. With the milk not coming in before, it comes in with more than enough, but does drop a bit around 4-6 weeks.

You could do some meditation/affirmations while pumping. Bridget Teyler in YouTube has some I liked. See that time as "me" time.
