Nightmares?
hey mamas! lately at night, my girl (4/9) is becoming inconsolable sometimes. we cosleep, and sometimes she will start crying hysterically, eyes completely closed and then won’t take a paci or nurse, and trying either makes her cry harder. i’ve noticed by just riding it out that she will eventually just calm to whimpering and then stop crying altogether after like 10-15 minutes. are those signs of nightmares? has anyone else dealt with this?

@SiSi thank you! i never even thought about that. she’s got 6 other teeth already and has never been like this in the middle of the night

My daughter went through a face like this, I honestly don’t know what was going on, if it was nightmares or fear of the dark or something of a sort. We just held her and shushed her until she calmed down, sometimes offered some warm milk and she would calm down about the same time length. But many sleepless nights for sure. She did grow out of it though, it lasted a couple of weeks. Even now she is 2 next month and some nights wakes up just really scared and needs a hug and rock back to bed.
