Movements - what is normal??

Hi! I’m 22 weeks tomorrow and I’m just wondering what’s normal in terms of movements for this gestation. I had been told I had anterior placenta but that it was more on one side than the other. Some days I can feel a lot of flutters and soft kicks but over the last couple days haven’t felt as much. I know baby is still small etc but is this normal? TIA🫶🏼

Hello!! I am currently 25 weeks. When I was 22 weeks I freaked out sooo much over trying to figure out what his pattern might be, I lay awake at night so worried that he might have kicked less today, and sometimes worried that I didn’t feel him at all for 3 whole days. I called the hospital and they told me not to worry about patterns until around 26 weeks (when a ‘pattern’ would have been going on for at least two weeks) and the pattern isn’t really relevant until then. HOWEVER you should always get checked out if you are worried and I would always rather be safe than sorry!!

My baby hadn’t moved at all by 24 weeks and triage did checks and scans and everything was fine. I wouldn’t worry at 22 weeks as at least it’s moving here and there. My midwife told me she will be concerned at 28 weeks if it’s not moving regularly. I’m 25 weeks now and it moves once every few days so I wouldn’t stress but if you are triage will see you at 24 weeks x

I was sooooo worried and overthinking everything between 20 and 24 weeks and now I’m very lucky that he seems to be building up his kicking pattern quite well. Additionally if you are quite active during he may have been moving and you may not have felt him! (Or her)

I'm exactly the same. Find it hard not to worry

Feel exactly the same at the moment. I am 23 weeks. We have just moved house and I have a 4 year old, I keep constantly worry thinking I can’t feel the baby as much. I do think it’s because I’ve been so busy. The comments are reassuring x

Thank you ladies🫶🏼 it’s so helpful and reassuring xx
